OUR 7-POINT GROOMING CHECK
During every grooming session, our trained groomers perform our 7-point check to ensure that your dog is as healthy as it can be. Our 7 steps include:
Skin and Coat
We begin by looking for any lumps and bumps on the body. We also check for parasites or other irritations.
Ears
We remove excess hair from the ear canal, before wiping each ear with a soothing ear cleaner. We look for any inflammation that your dog may have.
Nose
A dog’s nose should always be wet and cold. A dry nose does not always mean illness, but it could mean a skin condition that you should be aware of.
Eyes
We remove excess hair from the eye area and check for any visible irritation. Both eyes should be clear and bright.
Nails
We check each nail to ensure that they are at a manageable length and trim if necessary. It is important to trim nails to make sure they don’t grow back into the paws and cause a painful infection.
Teeth
We check all teeth to ensure good oral hygiene. We look for any broken/wobbly teeth, swelling, bleeding, or lumpy gums, as well as tooth decay.
Joint Mobility
We check for any obvious soreness, resistance, arthritic changes, or lack of muscle on any side that could point to joint issues.
